Our Eclipse cantilever umbrellas can be easily installed using a “semi-permanent” method that provides the most safe
and secure operation. If installation is not possible they can be used on heavy freestanding bases, but this reduces
the wind guidance and is suitable for smaller sizes only.
Stainless Steel Spigot (included with Eclipse cantilever umbrella)
A marine-grade 316 stainless steel spigot is included with every Eclipse cantilever umbrella. It can be bolted directly to a concrete slab – no additional base plate required.
Refer below images for minimum slab thickness and concrete penetration:Specific countersunk concrete screws are required and are available to purchase with the umbrella (see below).
Additional installation accessories below provide the option of making the spigot removable or fixing to different surfaces.

Countersunk Concrete Screws
Concrete screws are the quickest and easiest way to install an umbrella spigot to an existing concrete slab. We have sourced premium 316 stainless steel concrete screws from Germany.
They are M10 x 120mm. They are countersunk to fit in the spigot fixing holes perfectly and allow the umbrella to rotate around without obstruction. These are available to purchase as a set of 4.

The spigot that is included with the umbrella can be fixed directly to a concrete slab. However you may still wish to use a base plate for the following reasons:

Decking Installation Kit (Stainless Steel)
If installing on a timber deck, a base plate is required to spread the load of the umbrella over a wider surface area. For this reason we offer a Decking Installation Kit. It includes a Stainless Steel Base Plate and a set of four countersunk stainless steel decking bolts for easy installation.

Inground Fitting
The inground fitting is used to install an umbrella in a garden bed, lawn or any other soft surface or a paved area with dirt or soil under the pavers (not concrete).
A hole is dug and filled with concrete to create a footing – the hole should be a minimum of 40cm wide and 70cm deep and belled out at the bottom for extra stability. The inground fitting is set in the footing. Once the concrete is set (approx 2-3 days depending on weather conditions) you can attach the umbrella spigot to the inground fitting.

880 Heavy Duty Freestanding Base
This base consists of a heavy steel frame that takes 12 concrete pavers (measuring 400mm x 400mm x 40mm each) to give it additional weight. The sleek brushed aluminium cover hides the pavers.
This non-permanent option is perfect if you would like to move the umbrella to different locations around your outdoor area or if you live in a rental property and cannot install. Note however that the base is very heavy when filled (approx. 240kg).Wheel Set Optional Extra
The wheelset is optional, so you can use this impressive base with or without them. This type of base is suitable for light to moderate winds only (depending on umbrella size).
PLEASE NOTE THE PAVERS ARE NOT INCLUDED.
This base should not be used for the 3m x 4m Eclipse rectangle or the 3.5m Eclipse square, these sizes requires installation only.
Barrel extension
The Barrel extension is used to raise a cantilever umbrella out of dirt, sand or tan bark so it doesn’t cause any damage to the rotating mechanism or just to give some extra height to the umbrella if needed. It is 300mm high and 215mm in diameter, and is powder coated steel (grey colour).
The Barrel extension is designed to be bolted to an in-ground fitting or base plate (purchased separately).
900 Heavy Duty Freestanding Base
A strong and attractive freestanding cantilever umbrella base in silver with internal caster wheels that are discreetly hidden inside the base. Our cantilever umbrellas are big and wind-rated, so we have engineered this moveable base to effectively support your cantilever umbrella while allowing you to easily move it around from one location to another.
Weighs approx. 160-180kg once filled with gravel/builder mix (not included).
Dimensions: 90w x 90d (cm).
Protective covers
Although we have designed our cantilever umbrellas to last and have manufactured the canopies using the highest quality outdoor fabrics, we still recommend using a cover-bag to protect your umbrella through the winter months.
The cover-bag helps to keep the canopy clean and free from bird-droppings and other unwanted nasties. It will prolong the life of your umbrella and keep it looking its best for many years to come.
Stabiliser bars
The Eclipse® cantilever umbrella has the option of attaching uniquely designed canopy stabiliser bars. These stabiliser arms will greatly increase the umbrellas stability on windy days.
The stabiliser bars screws into a mounting block already installed in the front channel of the umbrella mast. Each stabiliser arm then attaches to the end of the umbrella arms to the left and right. The stabiliser bars are designed for an environment where the umbrella needs to be up for longer periods of time in windy conditions
Etna LED light with remote
Made with a magnetised base the light can be placed on any metal surface, umbrella canopy, table top or even floated in a swimming pool. Ideal for indoor or outdoor use it has has an 8-10 hour battery life, and 24 different colour options.
The Etna light comes complete with an induction charger, electrical adapter, infrared remote control, magnet and storage bag.

LED lights
Our rechargeable LED lights comes with matching clips to attach the light to the canopy frame on any location on the arms of the umbrella. You will need to plug in and charge the batteries before use and should last approx 6 hours.
