We are proud to be the main supplier of umbrellas to the Australian Open Tennis Tournament – The Grand Slam of the Asia Pacific. This year (2013) we supplied the following products and services:
- Large, heavy duty Nova HD umbrellas for one of the main sponsors – Kia Motors. These giant red umbrellas with Kia branding were installed using custom timber bases that doubled as seating for patrons. They provided heaps of shade to the public as well as maximum brand exposure for the sponsor.
- Stylish black Cafe Series umbrellas with Jacobs Creek branding – these were installed throughtout the Garden Square area providing shade to thousands of patrons watching the tournament on giant TV screens.
- Bright blue on-court umbrellas with Kia branding that provided shade to the players in between games as well as brand exposure for the sponsor during televesion broadcasts.
- Custom made small umbrellas that were connected to TV cameras providing shade to the camera operators during filming.
- Logistics and manpower to deliver and install hundreds of umbrellas before the event.
- Assistance with engineering and certification of all umbrellas used at the venue to ensure they were installed and used safely throughout the tournament.
- Ongoing support and maintenance during the tournament to ensure all umbrellas were fully operational and carrying out emergency repairs where required.
- Assistance with bumpout after the tournament.
Our sister company Instant Marquees also provided a number of umbrellas for hire to the tournament.
